For almost a cen­tu­ry, Kopp has stood for high-qua­li­ty elec­tri­cal engi­nee­ring pro­ducts “Made in Ger­ma­ny”. At our head­quar­ters in Kahl am Main, we have been deve­lo­ping, manu­fac­tu­ring and dis­tri­bu­ting relia­ble solu­ti­ons for the dome­stic and inter­na­tio­nal mar­kets sin­ce 1927. Our pro­ducts are dis­tri­bu­ted both through qua­li­fied spe­cia­list who­le­sa­lers and via the DIY and home impro­ve­ment sectors.
Our pro­duct ran­ge is spe­ci­fi­cal­ly tail­o­red to two key tar­get groups:
pro­fes­sio­nal elec­tri­ci­ans, whom we sup­p­ly via spe­cia­list retail­ers, and ambi­tious DIY enthu­si­asts in the do-it-yours­elf sec­tor. For both user groups, we deve­lop tail­or-made pro­ducts that impress with their high qua­li­ty, well-thought-out func­tion­a­li­ty and par­ti­cu­lar­ly easy handling.
Fur­ther­mo­re, we are a relia­ble deve­lo­p­ment part­ner for indus­tri­al cus­to­mers. Working clo­se­ly tog­e­ther, we deli­ver bespo­ke, cus­to­mer-spe­ci­fic solu­ti­ons that are deve­lo­ped, manu­fac­tu­red and deli­ver­ed on time in strict accordance with tech­ni­cal specifications.

With over 7,000 pro­ducts, Kopp offers one of the widest ran­ges in the indus­try. This ran­ges from clas­sic plugs and sockets to mobi­le devices such as adap­ters and power strips, right through to inno­va­ti­ve smart home sys­tems for modern elec­tri­cal instal­la­ti­ons. A par­ti­cu­lar focus lies on our long-stan­ding pro­duct exper­ti­se in the field of switch ran­ges – from tim­e­l­ess light swit­ches and sockets to sophisti­ca­ted elec­tro­nic com­pon­ents such as dim­mers, moti­on and pre­sence detec­tors, and timers.
In Ger­man-spea­king count­ries, Kopp is one of the lea­ding sup­pli­ers of elec­tri­cal instal­la­ti­on pro­ducts. Whilst we cover almost the enti­re ran­ge of elec­tri­cal sup­pli­es in the DIY sec­tor, in the pro­fes­sio­nal sec­tor we focus spe­ci­fi­cal­ly on our core com­pe­ten­ci­es: switch ran­ges, por­ta­ble per­so­nal safe­ty swit­ches, pre­sence detec­tors and high-qua­li­ty power strips.
In addi­ti­on to our stan­dard ran­ge, we deve­lop and manu­fac­tu­re bespo­ke elec­tri­cal solu­ti­ons – such as indus­tri­al power strips or motor swit­ches – that are pre­cis­e­ly tail­o­red to our cus­to­mers’ spe­ci­fic requirements.

Who are we?

Kopp, with its head­quar­ters in Kahl am Main, has been manu­fac­tu­ring and sel­ling elec­tro­nic pro­ducts for the who­le­sa­le trade and DIY sec­tors in Ger­ma­ny and abroad sin­ce 1927. Our tar­get groups are both elec­tri­cal instal­lers sup­pli­ed through the tra­di­tio­nal who­le­sa­le trade as well as DIY enthu­si­asts sup­pli­ed by DIY stores.

For this reason, pro­ducts are available that have been spe­ci­fi­cal­ly deve­lo­ped and desi­gned for each tar­get group. We also offer to pro­du­ce and deli­ver cus­to­mi­sed pro­ducts and solu­ti­ons tog­e­ther accor­ding to your specifications.

Kopp curr­ent­ly has around 570 employees in Ger­ma­ny and abroad. 280 employees work at the Kahl site, the com­pa­ny headquarters.

What do we produce?

Howe­ver, we don’t only pro­du­ce tra­di­tio­nal swit­ches here, but also high-qua­li­ty elec­tro­nic com­pon­ents such as dim­mers, moti­on detec­tors and timers. Our assort­ment com­pe­tence focu­ses on the wide ran­ge of switch pro­gram­mes for the trade and the DIY channel.

Our focus

In Ger­man-spea­king count­ries, Kopp is one of the lea­ding com­pa­nies for elec­tri­cal instal­la­ti­on pro­ducts. In the DIY store sec­tor, we cover vir­tual­ly the enti­re spec­trum of elec­tri­cal equip­ment. In the trade sec­tor, we focus on core pro­ducts in the area of switch pro­gram­mes, mobi­le per­so­nal safe­ty swit­ches for con­s­truc­tion sites and the e‑mobility sec­tor, dis­tri­bu­ti­on boxes and high qua­li­ty socket strips.

In addi­ti­on to stock artic­les, we also deve­lop and pro­du­ce cus­to­mer-spe­ci­fic elec­tri­cal solu­ti­ons, such as indus­tri­al power strips, the PERCEDOS safe­ty switch for use in elec­tric vehic­les and motor swit­ches that can be instal­led in elec­tri­cal devices.
